Designing and Supporting Digital Assignments

Our educational technologists can help you develop digital project assignments such as podcasts, mini-documentaries, digital mapping, or web exhibits. We can help with assignment design (rubrics, timelines, etc.), identifying hardware and software resources, and assessing student's digital competencies and can develop customized workshops, documentation and other scaffolding needed to ensure student success.

Instructors can apply for Digital Bryn Mawr Project Grants to help fund outside guest speakers and field trips related to digital projects, and any equipment or software the College does not already provide.

Support

• LITS supports a wide range of software and educational technology tools that can be used for digital assignments and web hosting through our Domain of One's Own service.
  • Students can access college-provided software that cannot be installed on personal devices through in-person computer labs (labs on Canaday A floor are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week) and/or by remote log-in through LabStats or the Apporto virtual lab. 
  • Self-help guides and instructional resources are available through AskAthena and LinkedIn Learning.
  • Our educational technology specialists will together learning resources, host in-class workshops, and arrange drop-in support hours to support particular digital assignments and students and instructors can contact us for help through the Help Desk.   
• Students, faculty and staff can also check out cameras, tripods, microphones, optical drives and other multimedia equipment from our loan pool if needed.
