Borrow multimedia equipment

Features

LITS lends digital cameras, optical drives, camcorders, webcams, portable dvd players, and more to Bryn Mawr College faculty, students and staff. For information about the availability of devices in Canaday's multimedia loan pool, please see Tripod.

Getting Started

Equipment is available at the Canaday Circulation Desk during all of Canaday's open hours.  Please note that the multimedia devices circulate for up to seven days and are non-renewable.  You will be required to sign a loan agreement form before taking possession of the equipment.  Please read the form to ensure that you understand the terms of the loan.

Support

If you have a question about a device in the loan pool, please send your question to help@brynmawr.edu and a staff member will get back to you.  If your question is regarding a device you already checked out, please be sure to include the barcode number in your Help Desk request.  Equipment barcodes are 14-digit numbers and begin with 3 1796..., and they are affixed either on the inside of the bag or on the device itself.

Policies

Multimedia equipment circulates for seven days at a time with no renewals. Upon return, the equipment is examined by a staff member to ensure that the item is still fully functional and includes all parts.  Borrowers will be charged for replacement of any peripherals, cords, or media that are missing. A content list of everything included with a device appears inside the bag.

Multimedia equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis. You may not reserve multimedia equipment.

Equipment checkout will be in Canaday Library at any time the Circulation Desk is staffed.

Returns must be made to the Canaday Circulation Desk.  The Book Drop outside the library may not be used.
